May's Hottest Brands Have Arrived!

May 30, 2024

As summer's official start approaches, following its unofficial kickoff over Memorial Day weekend, here is a list of the brands most searched by sponsorship executives in May.

GHOST Energy tops the list after inking a multi-year deal with the Philadelphia Phillies on May 2nd, quickly followed by a multi-year deal with the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field. Within the partnership, GHOST will provide fans at Citizens Bank Park with its energy drinks and signature cocktails, while also sponsoring the "Strike Out the Stigma"initiative to promote mental health awareness through monthly pregame events and special activities. As part of the partnership with the Cubs, GHOST will be the presenting partner of the Cubs’ “Player Arrivals” social series, and the pregame video board feature as the team takes the field.

Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop earns the 2nd spot in our ranking with a buzzy new partnership for the premium canned cocktail brand. Two years after his celebrated Super Bowl appearance, the 52-year-old hip-hop icon and 17-time Grammy winner is the new title sponsor of the Arizona Bowl, now renamed the "Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop." This historic collaboration marks the first alcohol brand to become a presenting sponsor of an NCAA bowl game. Snoop will participate in an array of events surrounding the bowl, including a broadcast contribution, musical performance, and the "Snooper Bowl" for youth teams. His passion for football also has a philanthropic bent: 17 years ago, he launched the Snoop Youth Football League, which has since seen more than 40 kids make it to the NFL.

Zelle lands in the 7th spot after Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) welcomed the brand as a Golden Boot Club corporate partner and the team’s official peer-to-peer payment provider earlier this month. The digital payments network is also the new presenting partner of LAFC Gold, the club’s loyalty program, and will have a presence at BMO Stadium as the presenting partner of the premium guest entrance, the newly renamed Zelle Grand Lobby. Zelle has also launched the “Saves for the Community” initiative, pledging $1,000 for every regular season save by an LAFC goalkeeper to support Latinos for Education. In addition, the partnership aims to enhance the fan experience with campaigns like "Settle up in the 70th," encouraging fans to use Zelle to pay friends and family when concession stands close in the game’s 70th minute.

Moody’s makes its inaugural appearance on our list at #12 after closing a blockbuster deal to become an Official Cornerstone Partner of MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Jets and Giants. As part of the multi-year partnership, the risk analysis expert’s branding will be prominently featured at MetLife Stadium events, including extensive in-bowl signage and digital displays. Fans will be welcomed at the Moody’s Gate and will pass through an activation area on the plaza. Moody’s will also have naming rights to the exclusive Moody’s Commissioners Club, offering guests unparalleled views and unique experiences at stadium events.
