August's Hottest Brands Have Arrived!
With Labor Day weekend in the rearview mirror and summer soon coming to a close, here’s a look at the brands most searched by sponsorship executives on our platform in August.
Surfside tops the list at #1. This red-hot iced tea and vodka brand has taken the RTD cocktail industry by storm. The debut of five new flavors this summer—along with high-profile MLB partnerships with the Philadelphia Phillies (Surfside’s hometown club), Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Guardians—have further fueled its explosive popularity. Notably, Stateside Brands, Surfside’s parent company, ranks 10th on the list this month.
Fintech company Sezzle takes the 4th spot, following the news that the Minneapolis-based company will become the Official Jersey Patch Partner of the Minnesota Timberwolves this upcoming season. The multiyear deal marks both the Timberwolves’ first local patch partner and Sezzle’s first foray into pro sports sponsorships. Beyond the patch exposure, the brand will also benefit from prominent in-arena signage, in-game promotions, and sponsored community events.
Landing in 13th place is Verizon, which partnered with the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena to become the Official 5G Wireless Partner of the award-winning downtown Atlanta venue, just in time for the upcoming NBA season. Verizon Business and the Hawks will collaborate on technology upgrades across the arena to enhance connectivity for Hawks fans during games and events, while also streamlining everything from event entry to concession experiences.
Hot on the heels of the announcement of its new role as the Official Airline Partner of the WNBA, Delta Air Lines comes in at #22 on the list. In keeping with its ongoing focus on empowering women’s sports, Delta will leverage travel-related storytelling across WNBA media, including broadcast, digital, print, and social platforms. The brand will also promote the league and its players’ off-the-court journeys on digital and social media channels.
